Iam Alexandra Jones, I run a wellbeing service which includes Yoga, meditation and relaxation classes, one to one services, Online Yoga, workshops and well-being retreats. I have been in the well being business for over 20 years, beginning as a massage therapist/reflexologist and then qualifying as a teacher in higher education, this led me to interview my personal Yoga teacher who invited me to train in the discipline of Yoga with her at Morley College in London. Since gaining the qualification in 2007 I have been running my Yoga school – Meridian Yoga, Meditation and Relaxation.

I share a style of Yoga called Scaravelli inspired Yoga,
Vanda Scaravelli developed this work. She was taught by B.K.S Iyengar and adapted and amplified the focus to healing the spine through movement, breath and grounding. It involves postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation. Each week a varying sequences of movement will take place with a range of breath work and often relaxation at the end of the session. If you have practiced yoga before you will recognize many of the poses and practices.

My classes, which run throughout the week at The Centre in the Hills will bring you the opportunity to not only move better, but to release built up stresses from within. A time to communicate with yourself and rebalance, strengthen, with a combination of functional movement, beneficial breath work, grounding and deep relaxation. Each week the class is different, this work is gentle but equally, deeply strengthening. I am constantly learning and developing and I love to share this work with my community and beyond.
In my classes I have a complete range of students from beginners, fit sports enthusiasts, teachers, and those struggling with health issues and aches and pains with a non competitive, accessible and open approach.

The practices benefit all, releasing soft tissue and bones, to prevent injury and supporting those with injury to heal. Please get in touch if you would like to come along and experience the gifts the practices offer.
