our therapists

Our therapists have all been rigorously selected and hold appropriate qualifications, insurance, DBS certification and are registered with the relevant professional bodies. Some therapists can also provide online treatment sessions as well as both centre-based and walking-talking sessions in the Malvern Hills.

We are delighted that we can now offer a range of classes, groups and individual therapies, bringing our local community together to enjoy connectedness in what we hope feels like a ‘safe harbour’.

Thanks so much for literally holding me and being such a huge part of my healing. I know I’ve got a long way to go, but you’ve helped beyond measure with my chest so thank you. S.D. (Long term Covid).

“I have learnt more about my body than in any other class or treatment in Alix’s yoga class. It has become an essential part of my life, sanity, unwinding and spiritually. Alix’s use of her voice is like velvet, she is an amazing teacher, at the top of her game.”

“How do I love it, let me share the ways…
For the utter contentment which accompanies it.
For that total release of everything that accompanies it.
For the soothing effects on body and mind that accompanies it.
For that wonderful calm and reassuring voice that accompanies it.
For the room full of people who I know feel just the same…
Thank you, Alix, it’s all due to you”.

‘Having a body which now will not allow me to do everything that I ask it to, due to arthritis, but at the same time my mind still wanting it to behave like a twenty-year-olds, I can honestly say that I always feel better, more flexible and at peace with the world having attended one of Alix’s classes.
Alix is in her element both teaching, and in her own unique way, caring for her yoga students. This is evident in her empathy towards each pupil, and together with her enthusiasm to expand her own knowledge and pass on her expertise to us, her students, a varied program evolves for both body and mind. Alix gently encourages each student to get the most out of their practice according to their individual ability/needs.
Thank you for your haven of peace Alix!’ Liz P.

“I have been coming to yoga with Alix for 12 years now. There is no competitive atmosphere, we all get on well, there is quite a camaraderie. The classes are small enough so Alix keeps a good eye on us, taking some people further into postures and helping others tread carefully if they are recovering from injury or have aches or pains.
There is no Lycra here! I had been doing yoga for many years before attending her classes but I am astonished how my flexibility has developed, and my back is so much better. I like the way if I have to miss my regular class, I can call her and join one of her other classes so I do not miss my practice. I would recommend this yoga to anyone; I wish I had found Alix years ago. The yoga centre is wonderful and peaceful, it has wonderful views overlooking the hills and is very comfortable on a carpeted floor. ” Angela

“I started pregnancy yoga when I was around 30 weeks pregnant. I had never been to a yoga class before and I wasn’t very flexible or someone who was into exercise! However, Natalie convinced me to come along and said it would help my pelvic pain I was experiencing. Natalie is a warm, friendly, welcoming teacher who made a group of strangers feel like friends as we all shared that we were pregnant in common. We were all at different stages of our pregnancy however we could all do the moves and Natalie tailored certain ones for me for example I would sometimes sit on a chair so not to add any pressure to the pelvic pain I was already experiencing. I was worried that after the class the next day I would be in more pain than I was when I went to the class however after going for 2/ 3 weeks my pelvic pain had Eased quite considerably. I wasn’t a believer of pregnancy yoga before however after going to the classes it genuinely really helped me. I learnt all about different breathing techniques and positions to help when in labour which defiantly helped with my speedy two hour labour! I highly recommend these yoga classes!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed pregnancy yoga with Natalie. It was such a calming environment and my favourite part was meeting weekly with other mamas to talk all things baby. Natalie was a brilliant instructor and doing it while she was pregnant herself was beautiful to see. I am certain that these classes helped me to have a calm, enjoyable and natural labour without any stress. The yoga also helped me to maintain my fitness post pregnancy. I couldn’t recommend the classes enough.”

I was very anxious about  having hip surgery and after being given your contact details I am very grateful for how quickly you understood my situation in our first phone call. Also, how you accommodated appointments for me over the busy Christmas/New Year period.

My op. went very well yesterday. My wound is great, no red or soreness and all of my vitals were stable overnight. All monitors have been taken off me. I was walking last night and today a bit more practice with crutches and physio. Am out of bed, sitting in chair at table eating breakfast and watching TV. Apparently, I have  been a ‘perfect patient’ who would  have thought that! The staff know all about my needle phobia and they have all been marvellous.

I feel rather pleased with myself for feeling in such good spirits and ‘safe’. I have had more needles in me in the past 24 hours than all of the past  10 years…. ‘flooding’ technique perhaps 😀

THANK YOU so much Mark for helping me to get here.
